Floss band is an elastic band that used in Voodoo flossing, a compression therapy for muscle or tissue mobilization. Wrapping a floss band around a specific body part include the quadriceps, hamstrings, ankles, elbows, shoulders, triceps, lower leg, biceps, and knees is usually used by athletes, gym-goers, and other fitness enthusiasts looking to improve mobility, decrease muscle soreness and recovery time.

HOW TO USE

Steps to start voodoo flossing therapy with floss band.

  1. Wrap the floss band at about 50% tension, with few inches above and below the area to be treated.
  2. Tuck the end of the band into the wrapped band.
  3. Move that limb through a range of appropriate motion exercises, with total movement time within 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
  4. Upon completion of the exercise, remove the wrap to allow for increased blood flow to that joint.
  5. Avoid wrapping the band too tight, as the constant compression can reduce blood flow to your limbs.
  6. Make sure the wrap doesn’t cause any numbness or tingling, avoid keep it for longer than 1–2 minutes.
  7. Consult a physical therapist, athletic trainer or doctor to make sure floss therapy and floss band is appropriate for your type of pain or injury.
